Description
Slide-outs are not extended in the photos.
This is a 2003 Monaco Camelot equipped with a Cummins ISC diesel engine and Allison transmission.
We are a dealer based in Utah and purchased this motorhome sight unseen. It has a salvage title due to water. After purchase, we had it towed to a local shop. The shop was able to get the engine running for a few minutes, and it reportedly sounded great. The oil level was good, with no signs of water in the oil. Since then, it has not wanted to start again. We believe the issue may be related to the ECM/module, but that has not been fully diagnosed or confirmed.
Because the motorhome is out of state, and this is a busy time of year with our other units, we do not have the time to send someone out, source parts, or wait on repairs. For that reason, we have decided to sell it as-is through this auction.
Overall, it appears to be a clean motorhome inside and out. It could use a cleanup, mainly the carpet, which is expected for a coach that is over 20 years old. Other than that, the interior and exterior appear to be in good condition from what we can see. We have not personally inspected the motorhome in person, and no RV systems have been tested. The mechanic shop currently has the unit, but they are busy and do not specialize in motorhome systems.
With some TLC and the right diagnosis/repair, this could be a great motorhome. Based on what we see, it appears mostly original and looks like it was cared for by the previous owners.
I can send a video of the engine running upon request. Please email or text only. Do not call.
This motorhome is not available for in-person preview. We do not have anyone local to show it, and we are not comfortable allowing random people to go through it unattended.
If we were able to get this motorhome back to Utah and repair the starting issue, we believe it would easily sell for around $30,000. Instead, we are selling it as-is with no reserve/for any amount through this auction.
Good luck bidding.
